Our Story
About Us
Rooted in Learning
We are fourth-generation farmers, planting new dreams in old soil.
Our story begins in 1919, when my great-grandfather — a Barnardo Boy — bought this farm with hope in his heart and dirt under his nails. The land has been in our family ever since, a quiet witness to seasons of joy, struggle, and growth.
Despite all the places life takes us - there is always a draw back to the farm. Back to the rhythms of rural life. Back to the smell of soil, the stretch of the sky, the stories told around kitchen tables and old woodstoves. The farm becomes more than a place; it's alive - a place to reconnect, to play, to remember who we are.
Now, we are growing something new on these ancient lands: a small-scale market garden and agritourism space inspired by regenerative practices and human-scale farming. But more than that, we’re cultivating a learning ecosystem — one rooted in curiosity, care, and connection.
From the Learning Space to the Compost Pile
As educators, our lives have been shaped by questions:
How do people grow? What helps them thrive? How can we make space for learning that nourishes?
These questions didn’t stay inside the walls of the classroom. They followed us into the garden, into early mornings at the farmers’ market, into conversations with curious folks who want to slow down, reconnect, and dig in (sometimes literally).
Farming and the land, it teaches us. To notice, to adapt, to rest, to keep showing up. We’re learning how to work with it, not against it. We’re learning to trust nature’s pace.
We are inspired by regenerative growers, storytellers, and seed savers. We’re inspired by anyone asking "why," elders passing down wisdom, and neighbours who lend a hand.
Our Why
We do this because we believe in nourishing one another through food and nature. We do this because we believe everyone needs a place where they can feel whole, welcome, peaceful, inspired. Whether you come to pick up produce or stay for a farm experience, we hope you leave feeling nourished in more ways than one.
This isn’t just a business. It’s a way of living and learning in alignment with what matters most.
